Development Program & Workshop

Faculty Development Program is a skill development program specially designed for academic educators. Community Institute of Commerce and Management Studies believes that constant upgradation and improvement is essential for faculty. FDPs provide faculty the opportunity to constantly upgrade their knowledge and also to maintain high levels of motivation.

FDPs Conducted In CICMS

1. FDP on Mutual Fund Awareness:

K. Srinivasan is a qualified Company Secretary, whose experience spans over three and half decades. He provided expert advice regarding the Mutual Funds Awareness by Securities Exchange Board of India”. He highlighted types of mutual funds and their benefits for both tax payer as well as common people.

2. FDP on Numerical and Statistical Methods

Dr. Snehalatha M, Professor, Sambhram Academy of Management Studies spoke about numerical and statistical methods.

Workshops And Seminars Conducted:

1. Workshop on New Methodology for NAAC Assessment

Prof. S. Ravichandra Reddy, Former director of NAAC and Dr. L N Sheshagiri, Associate Professor of English, Department of Collegiate Education provided guidelines for NAAC.

2. Financial Education Workshop- An Initiative of SEBI

B.V. Krishna Murthy, Rtd. Asst. General Manager, RBI Bangalore, presented information on financial education, planning, investments, savings and Ponzi schemes.

3. Workshop on IFRS and IFM

Dr.V. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Mariyappa.B and Sathish H.K explained how to approach the newly introduced subjects for B.Com.-IFRS and IFM,

4. Workshop on Career Guidance - Technical and Soft Skills

This programme conducted by KAYAKA COPUTER EDUCATION Pvt. Ltd focused on the benefits of Technical knowledge & Soft Skills for career growth.

5. Tally ERP- Entrepreneurial Opportunities

Mrt. Ranganatha.T, Deputy General Manager- TX operations was invited to provide advice regarding the Entrepreneurial Opportunities provided by Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd. The resource person provided in-depth knowledge about zero investments to become an entrepreneur.

6. Stock Market investment –career opportunities

Mr. Lakshminarayan.R, CA provided expert advice regarding investments in stock markets.

7. Guest lecture on Digital Marketing and Professional Management

A lecture was delivered by Ms. Shefali Bafna on Digital Marketing and Professional Development. It was an enriching session.

8. Technical Seminar by MET TECHNOLOGY and SOLUTIONS

A technical seminar on Data Centre Architecture which will drive the world at least for the next 20-25 years.
