The Cell provides protection and safety for both staff and students from all sexual predators and ensures that ragging is dealt with sternly and severely.All measures are taken to monitor the activities of students through CCTV footage and the committee members of the cell. Programmes are organized to create awareness regarding sexual offences and ragging and the penalty for such offences.

• To provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere for staffand students without gender discrimination.
• To provide a work environment free from discrimination and harassment in any form.

• Verbal or physical threats
• insulting, abusive, embarrassing or patronizingbehavior or comments
• offensive gestures, language, rumors, gossip or jokes
• humiliating, intimidating, demeaning and/or persistent criticism
• open hostility
• suggestive comments or body language
• isolation or exclusion from normal work or study place
• publishing, circulating or displaying pornographic, racist, sexually suggestive or otherwise offensive pictures or other materials
• unwanted physical contact, ranging from an invasion of space to a serious assault

The Cell organized a Legal Awareness Programme on 23rd December 2017.The keynote speaker was Sri. M.L. Krishnamurthy, Circle Inspector, Siddapura Police Station.He appreciated the fact that there was no ragging in the college and complimented the management and faculty for giving the students such valuable insights into the dire consequences of ragging. He asked the students to utilize the facilities in the college for career building and realizing their goals and to not misuse them by indulging in nefarious activities.

Another seminar was organizedon 31st January 2020 related to Anti ragging & Anti Sexual Harassment. It was presided over by Mr. Chandan Kale, Police Sub Inspector, Jayanagar Police Station. The main focus of the seminar was the prevention of ragging and sexual harassment at work and in public places. He referred to many cases of drug addicts being sexually exploited and advised the students to not fall a prey to narcotics. A video presentation was made on how drug peddlers sexually exploit drug addicts.
